Whisky Jack Outdoor Co. Kitchen Boxes

I often get asked if I have kitchen boxes available, and I rarely do. Truth is I’m usually too busy building toboggans to build boxes. If you’ve been eyeing them, now is the time! I have a few boxes available. Kitchen boxes will provide a convenient, protected space to store your food and cooking kit as well as a functional table space for food prep, eating, playing cards or whatever you need a flat surface for.

Boxes measure 25.5″ x 13″ x 13″.  These are built with premium grade birch plywood using stainless steel fasteners. They are  finished off with boiled linseed oil for easy maintenance.

The Whisky Jack Outdoor Co. Ice Chisel

I’ve been tossing this idea of producing an ice chisel for 2 years now. A classic ice chisel head you can carry into the backcountry, mount on a pole and quickly cut through the ice to water.

I’ve spoken to numerous metal artisans, blacksmiths and leatherworkers to help make this idea come together and here it is. The 2″ wide 5160 steel head is quenched, triple tempered and sits at about 1kg. The tapered socket is 1.5″ in diameter at the opening and has 2 drilled holes to allow for a “keeper” nail or screw to keep the head where it belongs. The handcrafted leather sheath has our logo engraved and fits snug, I’ve added a grommet and some cord just in case, but it isn’t going anywhere.

I’m pretty excited to start offering these. They will be produced in small batches by a local blacksmith and leatherworker.
